Police have arrested a few people today in link with growing hundreds of hashish plants.
Officers executed three warrants at properties in Conifer Shut and Hawthorn Avenue, in Colchester, and Claremont Road, in Wivenhoe, yesterday .
They seized hundreds of cannabis plants and gear connected with increasing the vegetation.
Haki Brija, 27, of Hawthorn Avenue, Colchester, and Roland Shuti, 28, of Conifer Shut, Colchester, have due to the fact been billed with producing hashish.
They have been remanded to show up at Southend Magistrates’ Court docket tomorrow.
A 27-yr-old gentleman arrested on suspicion of developing hashish has been unveiled below investigation.
Sergeant Rob Temme, of Colchester’s Community Policing Staff, said: “Following considerations about drug action in the district, we have executed five warrants in five times with seven men and women arrested.
“Three of those folks have been billed and are due in courtroom and the other 4 are aiding us with our investigations.
“I’d like to thank the local community for their vigilance and their info.
“We’ve acted on this by attending a lot of addresses and seizing a huge amount of money of prescription drugs and tools.”
On April 21, law enforcement executed a warrant at and address in Victoria Mews and arrested two gentlemen, aged 21 and 24, and a lady, 21, on suspicion of possession with intent to source prescription drugs.
They all continue to be beneath investigation.
Following a warrant at an address in Stanway on April 22 officers charged Elvis Dalipaj, 23, of Tollgate Travel, Stanway, with getting anxious in the generation of cannabis.
He is due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Courtroom on Wednesday, Could 20.
